Photography Class - 3 Classes & Field Trip
What: Intro Digital Photography - Using Your Digital SLR Camera
Days: Thursday, July 13, Thursday, July 20 and Thursday, July 27, 2017 - Field Trip Date to be decided by class
Time: 6:30pm-9:30pm
Location: 11903 Bracken Court, Bowie, MD 20720
Cost: $ 120 to cover the three indoor sessions and the field trip
The course will be an introduction to Digital SLR Cameras - typical models include the Nikon D3000, D3100, D3200 and D3400, D5000, D5100, D5200, D5300 and D5400 and the Canon EOS Rebel series. These usially come with one or two kit lenses, a battery and a charger. Some people have larger kits with more lenses and a tripod.
The goal of the course is to introduce you to your camera and get you out of the dreaded AUTO setting which works in many but certainly not all settings. I will teach the small class the basics of ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture (f/stops) and we will practice and then test out our new skills on a local field trip to the Aquatic Gardens.
This course is geared toward teenagers and adults - it makes a great parent/child combined activity so that both of you can learn to use the camera at the same time.
